It is hot out side! So bring those pets in side. Inside dogs live from two to six years longer than dogs that live in the outside elements. If it is uncomfortable for you to be in the family car in the summer, try putting on a fur coat! This is how your dog feels but they cannot tell you. Last year the fire department tried to rescue a black dog that was hiking with his owner on one of our local hiking mountains. The dog over heated and died. This happens often in Arizona. It was 8 AM in the morning. It was only 90 degrees out side. One of the Fire Fighters that took a temperature of the earth, documented it at 142 degrees. Dirt. They were hiking on dirt. If it is 100 degrees out side, it is at least 140 on dirt, 140 to 160 on the sidewalk and even hotter on the pavement. It is the time of year, when the kids are out of school and they are in their Moms hair? “Take the dog for a walk!” Wrong! Do not be stupid.
So you think that you are tough… take your shoes off!
Please take care of your pets this year.
If you live in Arizona, why would you want dog training advise from any one in Australia? Or from Mexico? Or, any other country for that matter? We have Karen Pryor, Jean Donaldson, Emma Parsons, Patricia B. McConnell and many more. The fact that Mr. Ian Dunbar spends a lot of time in the California area but resides in both England and the Bay Area, we will replace him for now with 1963 dog training author and I believe the true dog wisperer, C.W. Meisterfeld. Google it! What about Ken Desch? There are gobs of possitive trainers in Arizona. Have you ever met someone that says "Don't worry! I know a guy." ''Hey, my Car broke down!'' ''Don't worry about it. I know a guy.'' ''My plumbing backed up!'' ''Don't worry about it! I know a guy.'' "Hey, my dog won't stop barking and she ate my couch!''

Positive Reinforcement vs Negative Reinforcement
According to Webster's Dictionary: - Negative: not affirming to something looked for, not constructive, opposite of a direction regarded as positive.
- Positive: leaving no doubt or question, constructive as opposed to skeptical, moving toward a source of stimulation that increases progress or superiority.
- Reinforce: to strengthen a tendency to act in a desired manner by a system of rewards.
- Positive Reinforcement: a system of management technique based on positive rewards, praise and recognition.
- Positive reinforcement training, is reward based with lots of love and praise. Negative reinforcement training is fear based.
- With the use of positive reinforcement techniques your dog's desire to please and serve you will be strengthen. Also with the use of positive reinforcement techniques, if your dog is of an alpha character, their need to overpower and dominate you will be diminshed and/or controlled.
