Rattlesnakes are not only found in Arizona's desert and country areas but often are seen on hiking trails, neighborhood parks, sport complexes, housing developments and even your own back yard.
If your dog lives, after being bit, the cost of treating a rattlesnake bite can be well over $1000.
My paramedic clients have a saying for snakebites. Time Is Tissue. If you or your pet is bit you have minimal time to get care before the tissue starts to rot with lots of extreme pain.
Therefore, prevention is the answer.
